APsmart Rapid Shutdown System – SunSpec Certified for Module-Level Shutdown.
The APsmart Rapid Shutdown System (RSD-S-PLC) ensures compliance with SunSpec requirements and NEC 2017 (690.12) standards for rapid shutdown in building-mounted solar systems. Each RSD-S-PLC unit is installed on individual PV modules, offering a compact, low-profile design that clips securely to the module frame for a clean and easy installation.
These units maintain a connection between the PV module and string wiring as long as a "keep-alive" signal is present on the power line, provided by a rapid shutdown PLC transmitter. If the transmitter power is interrupted, the RSD-S-PLC units automatically execute a rapid shutdown.
